Kasey Kahne, one of Nascar’s highest-ranked drivers, has teamed up with PDQ restaurants to introduce a specialty sandwich available this October and November in the Carolinas.
Kahne, the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports driver, created the rev’d up BBQ sandwich to be served exclusively at all 11 PDQ locations throughout North and South Carolina from October 4 through November 30. One dollar ($1) from each sandwich sold will benefit the Kasey Kahne Foundation in their effort to raise funds to support chronically ill children and their families.
Kahne, who has earned 17 career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins and 5 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup berths, worked with the PDQ team to incorporate his love for BBQ and topped it off with fresh ingredients. This one-of-a-kind collaboration was created with Kahne’s favorite tastes and is appropriately named the Karolina Kahnewich.
“We are looking forward to partnering with PDQ on the Karolina Kahnewich,” said Kahne. “The Kasey Kahne Foundation and PDQ are founded on the similar belief of being dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others, especially the lives of children.”
The sandwich includes PDQ’s fresh, never-frozen, crispy, 100% natural chicken tenders and is tossed in a rev-d up barbeque sauce. The creation is topped with fresh, homemade coleslaw and Grillo’s all-natural Pickles while served on a toasted brioche bun. Beginning Oct. 4, the Karolina Kahnewich will be available for $5.99 at all PDQ locations in North and South Carolina and at the original location called Tenders.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with Kasey Kahne and the Kasey Kahne Foundation,” said Nick Reader, PDQ CEO and Co-Founder. “Kasey is truly making a difference in the lives of children and their families and providing them with warm, unforgettable memories. Giving back is a part of who we are, and, along with the help of our Guests, we could not be more proud to help raise funds for Kasey’s foundation and support the amazing work he does all over the world.”
