Kasey Kahne Foundation To Serve As Beneficiary of Second-Annual Dirt Classic Sprint Car Race

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (SEPT. 8, 2015) — The Kasey Kahne Foundation (“KKF”) returns as the designated beneficiary of the Dirt Classic, a marquee 410 sprint car race held in Central Pennsylvania at Lincoln Speedway on Sept. 26. The second annual $20,000-to-win race at Lincoln Speedway, boasts the largest single-race payout in the race track’s legendary history. A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to the KKF again this year.

“The Dirt Classic is a great event for the local Pennsylvania sprint car community and benefits a great cause with the proceeds going to the Kasey Kahne Foundation,” said Kasey Kahne, a former sprint car racer from the state of Washington who spent time racing in Pennsylvania before he made the successful climb to stock car racing. “I went last year and had a blast and there was a huge crowd on hand with some exciting racing. Jarrod has done a great job promoting the race and hopefully this year’s event continues to be even bigger.” The Dirt Classic and Lincoln are donating the 50/50 proceeds as well as a portion of event t-shirt sales, which may be purchased on the KKF website.

Besides the fierce, competitive racing on the track, a highlight this year will be the pre-race party that includes a live radio broadcast by 98.5 FM The Peak, sprint car race simulators, Kasey Kahne merchandise tent, photo booth, fan contests and fireworks.

“It’s neat to put on a big sprint car event and hopefully create a festive fan atmosphere, all while supporting a great cause,” says promoter Jarrod Adams.

The Dirt Classic is expected to draw an even larger crowd this year and a who’s who of Pennsylvania racing as well as outsiders gunning for the $20,000 top prize. Advanced Tickets can be purchased online now.
